The RIGOL DG5000 Pro Series is a high-performance, multi-channel function and arbitrary waveform generator designed for embedded-system development, power semiconductor testing, communication systems, industrial automation and complex signal simulation. It offers up to 500 MHz output frequency, 2.5 GSa/s sampling, 16-bit vertical resolution, up to eight output channels and 64 Mpts standard arbitrary waveform memory per channel, expandable to 128 Mpts per channel..

The RIGOL DG5000 Pro Series Function/Arbitrary Waveform Generator is designed for engineers, research laboratories, electronics manufacturers and production-test teams that need multiple synchronised signal sources in one compact instrument.
The series combines the functions of a:
With 2-channel, 4-channel and 8-channel configurations, the DG5000 Pro can replace several individual waveform generators in multi-channel test systems. RIGOL states that the eight-channel design can reduce occupied bench or rack space by up to two-thirds compared with using four separate dual-channel instruments.

The DG5000 Pro Series includes nine models:
| Maximum Frequency | 2 Channels | 4 Channels | 8 Channels |
|---|---|---|---|
| 250 MHz | DG5252 Pro | DG5254 Pro | DG5258 Pro |
| 350 MHz | DG5352 Pro | DG5354 Pro | DG5358 Pro |

All models provide:
The DG5000 Pro is designed for applications that require several time-correlated signals.
Depending on the selected model, it provides:
Multi-channel generation is useful for:
Each channel can generate standard or arbitrary waveforms with individually configured frequency, amplitude, offset, phase and timing parameters.

The series provides channel-to-channel synchronisation accuracy of ±500 ps and adjustable channel skew from −200 ns to +200 ns with ±200 ps setting precision.
These timing controls support:
All output channels are isolated from chassis ground, with a maximum isolated DC voltage of ±42 Vpk.
Channel-to-channel isolation depends on the model:
Channels within each pair share a reference, while different pairs are isolated from one another. This design helps reduce ground-loop interference in multi-circuit and power-electronics testing.

The DG5000 Pro provides:
The deep memory allows users to reproduce long and detailed waveform records, including:
RIGOL specifies typical arbitrary waveform rise and fall time of 3.5 ns or less and typical RMS jitter of 200 ps under the stated conditions.

Continuous waveform types include:
The available maximum frequency depends on the waveform and model.
For DG5500 Pro models:
The maximum 500 MHz rating applies to sine-wave output. Modulated and burst sine-wave frequency limits can be lower.

All DG5000 Pro models support square-wave generation up to 170 MHz with fast transition enabled.
Square-wave rise time can be set from approximately:
Pulse output supports:
The optional multi-pulse function supports editable pulse groups containing 2 to 30 pulses.
It is particularly useful for:
The optional sequence function supports up to 512 waveform steps.
A sequence can combine multiple waveform events into one automated signal profile, reducing the need to change settings manually during a test.
Sequence generation is suitable for:
The datasheet specifies a total sequence waveform length of up to 64 Mpts per channel as standard or 128 Mpts per channel with the memory option.

The optional multitone function can combine up to 16 individual tones.
The amplitude and phase of each tone can be configured independently.
This function supports:

The final RIGOL DG5000 Pro price depends on the selected bandwidth, number of channels, memory upgrade, software functions, accessories and calibration requirements.
The DG5508 Pro integrates eight high-performance outputs in one chassis.
This is useful for complex systems that would otherwise require several independently synchronised generators.
The DG5508 Pro, DG5504 Pro and DG5502 Pro provide continuous sine-wave output up to 500 MHz.
All models provide a maximum sample rate of 2.5 GSa/s for high-fidelity standard and arbitrary waveform generation.
The 16-bit waveform engine provides up to 65,536 amplitude levels, supporting fine voltage adjustment and detailed arbitrary waveform reproduction.
Each channel includes 64 Mpts of standard arbitrary waveform memory.
The memory upgrade increases waveform length to 128 Mpts per channel for longer signal records and sequence profiles.
Tight channel timing supports coherent multi-channel signal generation and precise timing relationships.
Each channel can be shifted within a −200 ns to +200 ns range with ±200 ps setting precision.
Outputs are isolated from chassis ground. Multi-channel models use isolated two-channel groups to reduce ground-loop problems while supporting differential signal generation.
All models can generate square waves up to 170 MHz with fast transition enabled.
Pulse generation up to 120 MHz and a minimum pulse width of 4.2 ns support high-speed digital and switching applications.
The built-in harmonic function supports individual amplitude and phase control for harmonic orders up to 20.
The optional sequence mode combines up to 512 waveform events into one automated signal profile.
The optional multi-pulse function generates groups of 2 to 30 editable pulses for semiconductor switching tests.
The optional multitone function combines up to 16 independently adjustable signal components.
Optional pattern output supports PRBS and user-defined digital patterns at up to 300 Mbaud.
The instrument can be operated remotely through a compatible web browser over the network.
