ITECH IT2600 Multi-Channel Cell Simulator & Tester

The ITECH IT2600 Series is a precision cell simulation and testing platform designed for battery management system (BMS) development and validation. Each 1U unit provides eight mutually isolated channels with independently programmable voltage, current and internal resistance. Engineers can reproduce cell conditions consistently while testing how a BMS measures, balances and protects a battery pack.

IT2600 Product Overview

Simulate real battery behaviour

The IT2600 supports an internal-resistance model and first- through fifth-order equivalent-circuit models. Users can define state-of-charge, open-circuit-voltage and resistance relationships, or import battery curves through CSV files. The instrument can also inject controlled voltage ripple and simulate open-circuit, short-circuit and reverse-polarity faults to assess BMS response.

Measure and test cells

Alongside simulation, each channel supports basic charging, discharging and cycle tests. Cutoff conditions can be set by voltage, current, time, capacity, energy or cycle count. Current readback resolution reaches 10 nA on the 100 µA range, supporting sleep-current, leakage-current and small balancing-current analysis.

A built-in oscilloscope and data logger help capture voltage and current changes during balancing, ripple injection and fault events. For larger systems, multiple units can be connected for up to 200 channels, with a maximum combined series voltage of 1,200 V DC.

Built for automated BMS validation

CAN, LAN, USB and configurable digital I/O support integration into automated test equipment (ATE) and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) workflows. PV2600 software provides centralised channel control and test sequencing. Applications include EV and energy-storage BMS validation, balancing tests, fault diagnosis, battery monitoring boards and basic cell performance verification.
