The RIGOL DHO1000U Series is a high-resolution digital oscilloscope designed for electronic design, circuit debugging, signal validation, education and general laboratory testing. Built on RIGOL’s Centaurus platform, it provides 200 MHz bandwidth, up to 2 GSa/s sampling, 12-bit vertical resolution, optional memory up to 50 Mpts and waveform capture up to 500,000 wfms/s in UltraAcquire mode through a 10.1-inch HD touchscreen..

The RIGOL DHO1000U Series High-Resolution Digital Oscilloscope is developed for engineers, technicians, electronics manufacturers, educational institutions and research laboratories that need accurate waveform capture and dependable day-to-day measurement performance.
The series combines 12-bit acquisition, low-noise analogue front-end performance, deep waveform memory and a large touch interface in an accessible benchtop platform. It is suitable for observing analogue signals, power rails, sensor outputs, digital timing, communication buses and intermittent circuit faults.
The DHO1000U Series includes:
Both models also include one external trigger input.

The DHO1000U uses a 12-bit analogue-to-digital converter, providing 4,096 vertical quantisation levels.
Compared with a conventional 8-bit oscilloscope, 12-bit acquisition provides 16 times more vertical levels. This helps engineers distinguish smaller voltage changes and examine waveform details that may be difficult to identify on lower-resolution instruments.
The 12-bit acquisition system supports:
The oscilloscope also supports up to 16-bit processing in High Resolution mode. The available bandwidth and sample rate may be reduced when higher-resolution processing is selected.

The DHO1000U is designed with a low-noise front end for measuring small signals more clearly.
RIGOL specifies a typical noise floor of approximately 75 μVrms at the 500 μV/div setting under its stated test conditions.
Low-noise performance is useful when measuring:
The instrument provides vertical sensitivity from 500 μV/div to 10 V/div, helping users measure both low-level signals and larger circuit voltages.

The DHO1000U Series provides a maximum real-time sample rate of up to 2 GSa/s.
For the DHO1204U four-channel model, the available sample rate depends on the active-channel configuration:
High-speed sampling helps preserve waveform detail when examining:
The DHO1202U provides up to 2 GSa/s in single-channel operation and 1 GSa/s when both analogue channels are active.

The DHO1000U supports waveform capture rates of:
UltraAcquire reduces acquisition dead time and improves the probability of detecting uncommon waveform abnormalities.
It is useful for identifying:
The DHO1000U UltraAcquire rate should not be confused with the 1,500,000 wfms/s rate of the standard DHO1000 Series.
The DHO1000U provides 25 Mpts standard maximum memory in single-channel operation, with an optional upgrade to 50 Mpts.
Memory allocation depends on the number of active channels.
For the DHO1204U:
Deep memory allows engineers to capture longer signal records while maintaining useful sampling detail.
Typical applications include:
Memory depth should therefore be described as up to 50 Mpts optional, not 50 Mpts simultaneously on every channel.
The DHO1000U supports hardware waveform recording and playback of up to 500,000 frames.
Waveform recording allows users to:
The system can also detect glitches as narrow as approximately 2 ns in Peak Detect mode under supported conditions.
The oscilloscope supports common automatic waveform measurements for voltage, time, frequency and pulse analysis.
Typical measurements include:
Measurement statistics help users evaluate signal consistency over repeated acquisitions.
The DHO1000U provides waveform mathematics and frequency-domain analysis.
Available functions can include:
FFT analysis helps engineers examine:
The DHO1000U supports serial bus analysis for embedded and automotive applications.
Supported protocols include:
Serial decoding displays protocol information alongside the electrical waveform, helping users identify:
Protocol availability and included licences should be confirmed for the supplied regional configuration.
The oscilloscope provides trigger functions for isolating specific waveform conditions.
Trigger types include:
These trigger functions help engineers capture specific events rather than reviewing large numbers of normal acquisitions.
The DHO1000U supports mask testing and pass/fail analysis.
Users can create acceptable waveform boundaries and check whether subsequent acquisitions remain within those limits.
This function is useful for:
The DHO1000U includes a 10.1-inch capacitive multi-touch display with a resolution of 1280 × 800 pixels.
The touchscreen supports:
Physical controls remain available for users who prefer conventional oscilloscope operation.
The front panel includes dual multifunction Flex Knobs designed to simplify interaction with menus, measurements and waveform controls.
Photoelectric encoder controls are used to improve the operating life of frequently adjusted knobs.
This interface supports:
The DHO1000U provides:
These connections allow the oscilloscope to synchronise with other laboratory instruments and automated test systems.
External reference-clock support is useful for:
Standard interfaces include:
These interfaces support:

The final RIGOL DHO1000U price depends on the selected model, memory upgrade, probes, accessories and calibration requirements.
The standard 12-bit acquisition system provides 4,096 vertical quantisation levels.
This helps reveal small waveform details that may be difficult to distinguish on standard 8-bit oscilloscopes.
High Resolution mode can increase effective vertical processing up to 16 bits for low-noise and precision measurements.
Both the DHO1202U and DHO1204U provide 200 MHz analogue bandwidth.
This supports general embedded, digital, analogue, power and communication measurements.
The maximum real-time sample rate is 2 GSa/s in supported single-channel operation.
UltraAcquire improves visibility into rare and intermittent waveform events.
The optional memory upgrade provides up to 50 Mpts in single-channel mode.
Hardware recording and playback support extended event analysis.
Peak Detect acquisition can identify glitches as narrow as approximately 2 ns under supported conditions.
The low vertical scale supports measurement of small analogue signals, ripple and noise.
The low-noise front end helps improve visibility of low-amplitude signals.
The DHO1204U provides four time-correlated analogue channels plus one external trigger input.
Supported protocols include RS232/UART, I2C, SPI, CAN, LIN and parallel bus.
The 1280 × 800 touchscreen provides clear waveform and measurement display.
Dual multifunction controls reduce the number of steps required to change oscilloscope settings.
Photoelectric controls are designed to provide longer operating life in high-use laboratory environments.
10 MHz reference connections support multi-instrument synchronisation.
The oscilloscope interface can be displayed on a larger external screen for classrooms, shared laboratories and production stations.
